Do You know a Lang?

I am researching my Lang family ancestry and have recently discovered that my 4 x great grandfather, George Lang, was born in South Tawton in 1799.

Two of his sons then married into the Ellacott family of North Petherwin

I would be very interested to know if there are still any descendants of George Lang living in South Tawton, or if there is anyone else researching the Langs of South Tawton.  My direct ancestors moved away from South Tawton to work in the dockyards in Plymouth in the mid-1800s.

Apparently, a Thomas Lang was the Landlord of The Seven Stars in the mid-1800´s ....

My parents actually visited South Tawton last week (they only live in Ipplepen, so it isn´t too far) and said what a lovely village it is.  We have only just recently discovered the Lang connection and are all eager to find out more.

They had a brief wander around the church yard but it was blowing a gale and miserable, so further searching will have to wait for a better day.
